According to the owner, this unit, manufactured in 1971 by Ellicot Machine Corporation. The overall length when assembled is 73 Feet from the end of the cutter head to the end of the discharge pipe in the rear. The unit includes 1,500 feet of PVC discharge pipe. Owner states it can be dissembled and shipped on 6 trucks. It has spent its life in fresh water except for one salt water job.
The vessel is of welded steel construction consisting of a center section containing the dredge, pump and attendant machinery with port and starboard side pontoons for stability and fuel storage. A raked stern pontoon extending the full width has been added to the hull increasing the overall length by 12 feet to its present 73 feet. The hul is constructed of plating approximately 5/16 inches and longitudinally framed with 4 inch x 3 inch x 5/16 inch steel angles with built-up transverse truss frames. THe dredge is fitted with a raised operator's cab and single level deck hoiuse of welded steel construction extending over hte cneter hull section.
